Livestrong Austin Half Marathon 2011

Well I wanted to be sub-2:05 and have done lots of mileage this winter, but nothing that gave any confidence I'k be able to achieve my always over optimistic objectives. 2:11:39(official) as a full second slower than last year. I set myself a target pace of 9:25 and was pretty much ahead heading down S 1st St, when the wheels came off the wagon. I had a huge blisters on the step of both feet. I stopped at RunTex to apply vaseline, this put me behind and I never caught back up.

I'm not sure if the HR data in this is accurate, if so I guess I must have had a fever, or been super-tired going into the race. I have a max/max HR of 168, and I've pretty much struggled to get it over 166. I hit max a the 7-mile mark and it went up from there. I didn't run with anyone, so its hard to feel I was recording their transmissions. When I get time, I'll compare to last year... but here it is...
