NZ Olympic team finalised
After a close race at the Oceania Championships in Tasmania, the final slots for the NZ Olympic teams were decided. The mens team is: Bevan Docherty, Hamish Carter and from the weekends race, Nathan Richmond who finished 4th. Only one NZ woman meets the qualification criteria, GB Born Samantha Warriner, who finihsed in 7th in the Oceania champs. won by L. Blatchford (Aust) 2h 05m 07s 1, B. Lindquist (US) 2h 05m 17s 2, N. Hackett (Aust) 2h 05m 38s.
