Packaging Insanity

I'm on American Airlines flight from the UK to Chicago, they bring around the late afternoon food tray for cattle class. On the tray is one small deepdish pizza(pretty decent), a shortbread cookie in the wrapper, and a small pack of grapes.

On the pack of grapes it is printed... "Produce of various"!

WTF. Is various a member of the United Nations? Will various be represented at next years Olympic Games? This falls into the category of "If you can't say something useful, don't say anything at all!"

No doubt the grapes are a result of the ever increasingly bizarre trend in the UK to label everything, next time they will probably say "this product may contain nuts"...

and to all those AA frequent flyers, yes the battle cry for dinner is still "chicken or beef".

Funny you mention that
I bought a 2+ lb container of smoked almonds yesterday. On the label:
This product is processed on equipment that also processes nuts.

Genius. Absolutely genius.
It'd been awhile since I was on a trans-Atlantic flight, so recently I was intrigued by the veg option the dude next to me was having. It looked much nicer than the "chicken or beef" option. Have you ever tried getting one of those? Is it better? Worse?
Re: Veg?
No I have not, but it's a good idea, I'll order a veg next time I travel, which should be in the next month or so!
